Australia’s wildfires prompted me to spend time in my still, interior space, envisioning thriving instead. I wrote this poem on December 27, 2019.
Gaia is Healthy in My Heart
The rivers and mountains of my inner Earth
vibrate with latent sound current.
The name of God is in all!
Sprouting sapling pitch
harmonizes warbling songbirds,
showing the space to be spacious.
Wolves offer ascending howls in endless return,
echoing diminuendo
through sheer canyon walls.
Gray stones carry a bass hum through bones,
underpinning life
teeming with Life.
